LOTR fellowship of the ring

Many times I've wanted to read this book. I've seen all three movies, and read the hobbit, I own all three books but from where it starts out there isn't really much to pull you into the book, but as it goes on it becomes more and more interesting. It becomes a grabber at the part where Strider comes into the story at the inn when the ring wraiths are after them and pippin gives away that they are Baggins and they are found unfortunately the movie sort of ruined it for me because when Gandalf
